Brain Chase is a 6-week summer learning challenge disguised as a massive global treasure hunt for 2nd−8th graders. A golden globe has been buried somewhere on earth – and it contains the key to a safe deposit box holding a $10,000 college scholarship fund. Participants who complete an hour of online summer learning activities each day will unlock secret animated webisodes that hold the clues to the globe’s whereabouts. Guess the treasure’s location first, and you’ll be the one on a plane to dig it up.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ivy Seed Academy was founded in August of 2013 and based in Boston Massachusetts, Ivy Seed is an education company that provides STEM programs, summer camps for children around the world and educational tours.

The course is designed to prepare students for the fundamentals of IOS programming language created by Apple. Throughout the Programming & App Development for iPhone & iPad, students will explore fundamental programming concepts and instructional design principles. Students will able to apply design principles and create individual phone app at the end of class.

Each day the camp runs from 9am-4pm and includes lunch and 1 off-campus field trip each session. The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. CAMP FACILITIES: We have outdoor picnic groves, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, a baseball diamond and soccer field. Through the woods there is a high and low ropes course and an archery range. Our pool allows us to swim rain or shine, and we have a large gym, several racquetball courts, and an indoor climbing wall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Youth who are eager to learn, develop and enhance their leadership skills in the camp setting, apply to be C.I.T.s. These future counselors train in daily sessions: covering many areas such as effective listening, peer relationships, role modeling and programming.

C.I.T.s work with different age groups learning developmental stages and finding their preferred age group. As a group project, the C.I.T.s will plan and implement a camp-wide carnival.

The C.I.T. program includes a 5-day, 4-night recreational trip to Club Getaway in Kent, CT, from July 15 - July 19. Teens will bond as a group and enjoy boating, rock climbing, group challenge activities, trapeze, giant swing and evening socials. Each applicant is interviewed after registering.

CAMP FACILITIES: Modern dorms with bathrooms on each hall, well-equipped science laboratories, state-of-the-art computer and media labs, brand new air-conditioned dining hall, two indoor gyms, numerous outdoor playing fields, 500-seat performing arts center with digital music studio, fully-wired (and wireless) library with over 30,000 volumes, numerous hiking trails and a ropes challenge course.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Come and enjoy the vast scientific experiences here on campus while also enjoying the fun and active environment of camp. During this week, the children will have an opportunity to dabble in many different scientific experiences. These experiences will range from classification of the plants on campus to the physics of our playground equipment. The children will spend each morning enjoying a team building activity, a short lesson on the topic of the day, free play, and even some sports. In the afternoon, the children will spend time participating in a hands on activity that will correlate with the morning’s lesson.

In this camp students will have the opportunity to create a fully controllable robot that is designed and build for combat. at the end of the week, students will put their creations to the test against other student robots! 2D Game Design
Learn to program by creating your own 2D game! From side scroller to endless runner and anything in between, you will learn how to bring your idea to reality. At the end of this camp you will have a playable game that you can share with your friends and the experience and tools to make as many games as you want!

Digital Designer
Creating your own character can be overwhelming, but this class can teach you the steps you need to create a fully flushed out, real character! This class will teach you how to create a model of your character as well as all of the traits that make the character believable. You can use these characters in anything from D&D to professional animation!

Tabletop Game Inventor
Games come in all shapes, sizes, complexity, and feeling. In this camp students will start by learning how to think about game design and game flow, working through idea, prototype, and finally making a full game that they made and can play with their family and friends. Students will be able to craft their game using a variety of tools to help bring the beauty of their design into the real world.

3D Design in Blender
This class will teach you how to create an amazing 3D character in Blender! This class will focus on how to create your own characters in blender that can be used for any game you might use! We will focus on modeling, rigging, and rendering your character.

Game Dev in Unity 3D
Make a game that is uniquely yours using industry leading tools while learning the C# Programming Language! From RPG to adventure game, this camp is all about bringing your story and imagination to life, and at the end you'll have a game that is playable and shareable with your friends.

Are you a tinkerer? Do you enjoy taking things apart and then putting them back together? How about using the latest technologies and real world equipment to teach kids how the world works? If so, then this may be your dream job! Guild Hall Studios (Our Camp Website Link: www.guildhalllearning.com) is an educational makerspace that introduces children and teens ages 8-18 to STEM and real world job concepts using readily available, easy to learn, yet powerful tools and components. We are hiring additional smart, creative, dynamic coding and engineering instructors to deliver our one of a kind program to students in Woburn, MA and throughout the Boston area. This part-time position includes teaching programs during after school hours (4pm-7pm) with weekday mornings and weekends throughout the year, and full day camp programs during the summer.

Buckle up – this is hard work! At Guild Hall every kid and every project is unique. You'll be in charge of leading excited kids through challenging projects using, managing classroom conflicts, constantly learning and collaborating with other instructors. – this will be the toughest job you’ll ever love!

REQUIREMENTS: Flexible schedule: availability during weekday afternoons and some weekends a must during school year, full weekdays during summer months are available as well.

Experience and passion for teaching teenage students in an energized maker classroom or summer camp setting.
STEM related coursework, experience with Unity 3D, arduino, Raspberry Pi and other technologies interest and/or experience a plus!

This is a part-time hourly position, 15 – 20 hours/week (30 – 40 hours/week possible during summer).

CAMP FACILITIES: Enjoy a wonderful spacious indoor facility where we can break up into smaller groups in addition to a natural outdoor setting. Enjoy a hot lunch and snack every day.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Drama Camp is run and instructed by Amy Kimball, who has worked in the summer camp setting for 32 summers. She directed Summer Camp for 20 summers. Amy is an experienced Clown, Mime, Performer, Director, Certified Teacher and has had every role at camp from counselor to unit head to specialist to Director. Amy has her BA in Education and has directed over 15 theatrical productions over the years. She will be working with help from a talented staff of performers who have expertise in singing and acting. Amy's staff will go through a camp staff orientation to understand their roles and responsibilities as counselors.

Our philosophy is for campers to create, learn, enjoy and work together all in a positive setting. Drama camp is about process but at the end of the week, the campers will perform for their friends and families.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CITs who have experience in drama and/or other training programs may contact Amy to see if there is room to be a Counselor in Training. CITs must be entering 9th or 10th grade in the fall.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lawrence Academy is a private boarding high school that offers summer programs. The campus has a swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, 3 indoor basketball courts, 8 athletic fields, a theater, dining hall, and numerous indoor air conditioned spaces. Summer programs are open to ages 3.5-17.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The 100-acre Lawrence Academy campus provides the setting for over 30 day camp offerings for children entering grades K–12 and an overnight English, Mandarin, Spanish, and French immersion program for American and international students. Summer Programs at Lawrence Academy are divided into three types: Day Camp, Specialty Camps, and Sports Camps. We offer nine one-week camp sessions beginning June 22, and ending August 21, 2015 for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12. The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. An on-campus swimming pool is available to all program participants.

CAMP FACILITIES: KSA's gorgeous property features a 200 acre lake, a 15,000 square foot main lodge, 20,000 square foot field house, new bunks and brand new courts and fields. Kutsher's has 9 outdoor tennis courts on site, along with 4 outdoor and two indoor basketball courts. We also have 3 baseball fields, a soccer field, lacrosse field, golf range, beach volleyball court, hockey rink and full service fitness center.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in Monticello, New York in 1968 by Milton Kutsher and legendary college basketball coach Clair Bee, Kutsher's Sports Academy was the first camp to offer an entirely elective sports program. KSA is ACA accredited and has been in the CampRatingz top ten camps in the nation for two years running. The pride and joy of Kutsher's Sports Academy, and what sets it apart from any other camp, is its coaching staff. KSA has professional coaches in every sport area that they offer, and all bring qualifications that make them the top coaches in their respective areas. Empow’s Minecraft Camp is the ultimate week-long learning adventure! Our camps are tailored to all skill levels, whether you’re just starting out your explorations or you already know you’re way around creepers. We start by introducing campers to Redstone, a special kind of element that mimics electricity almost perfectly. Campers of nearly any skill level can have fun building circuit boards, and even making a very simple computer inside Minecraft. As they master Redstone skills, we offer challenges that teach key concepts in programming, design, electrical engineering, and architecture, all while using teamwork and social skills. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SPOTLIGHT aims to engage today's youth in the discovery of theatre's many components. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun filled environment, we strive to enrich appreciation for Theater Arts through education, creativity, and passion. Participants receive theatre arts training both on stage and backstage which strives to foster each individual's talents and aspirations with an emphasis on teamwork and personal growth.

THE SPOTLIGHT THEATER WORKSHOP was designed not only to be a lot of fun, but to also focus on strengthening the skills of our participants and teaching them new and exciting elements involved in the performing arts. Some of our classes will include acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, improv, and auditioning skills. Also, we're very excited about incorporating film/television acting and production into the workshop!

Monologues will also be worked on during class time so that upon completion of the program, participants will be comfortable using their pieces at auditions in the future. There will also be many outdoor activities, free time, and special guests!

CAMP FACILITIES: The classrooms and laboratories have lab benches situated by the windows so that students can conduct experiments in optimal lighting, maple cabinets and black counter tops, and Smart Boards for interactive teaching. Residential students stay in well-appointed dormitories with air conditioning, Internet access, common rooms with flat-screen TVs, and kitchens. Students may also take advantage of the beautiful grounds and state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Programs provide students with the opportunity to develop high-level research skills and subject matter expertise (without the pressure of tests and grades) as well as strengthening credentials valuable for college admissions interviews and essays.
