CAMP FACILITIES: Lawrence Academy is a private boarding high school that offers summer programs. The campus has a swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, 3 indoor basketball courts, 8 athletic fields, a theater, dining hall, and numerous indoor air conditioned spaces. Summer programs are open to ages 3.5-17.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The 100-acre Lawrence Academy campus provides the setting for over 30 day camp offerings for children entering grades K–12 and an overnight English, Mandarin, Spanish, and French immersion program for American and international students. Summer Programs at Lawrence Academy are divided into three types: Day Camp, Specialty Camps, and Sports Camps. We offer nine one-week camp sessions beginning June 22, and ending August 21, 2015 for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12. The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. An on-campus swimming pool is available to all program participants.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers enjoy the JCC's air-conditioned, professional theater, art and dance studios, science classrooms, an indoor pool for lessons, and a zero-entry outdoor pool for free swim. Additionally, campers enjoy a dedicated gaga pit, outdoor ping pong and foosball tables, tennis courts, fields, woods, trails, and access to the Charles River. Campers may bring a vegetarian or fish lunch, or pre-order lunch from our on-site kosher caterer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Kaleidoscope is dedicated to making camp a fun, nurturing, educational experience for each camper. Staff include well-trained bunk counselors ages 18 and up who work with groups of campers daily, and professional teachers who lead classes. Programming is organized into two four-week sessions, with flexible registration options. Registration minimum is two weeks.

All campers swim daily, with lessons offered twice weekly with our professional aquatics staff, utilizing the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy methods. Each session culminates in "Arts Night," including art and science exhibits, musical performances from lower and middle camp groups, and a fully realized musical from upper campers.

Lower campers entering grades K & 1 enjoy a balanced day of arts, science, and sports activities with caring, inclusive counselors and specialists. Middle campers entering grades 2 & 3 follow a schedule of diverse activities with their groups and enjoy "choice times" when they individually choose activities. Upper Campers in grades 4-8 design their own programs, choosing activities weekly, including theater, art, music, dance, boating and more. Upper Campers who elect to be in the musical attend for a full, 4-week session. All campers attending weeks 4 and/or 8 participate in "Arts Night", showcasing their art and science projects, and performing for parents and friends.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CITs in grades 9-11 are an integral part of camp, providing leadership and receiving training while also pursuing their own interests. They create their own schedule under the guidance of dedicated CIT staff. They spend approximately half the day assisting camper groups or activities, and half the day pursuing their own interests. CITs pay a reduced rate.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial aid is based on need and may cover up to 50% of tuition. Financial aid applications are due by April 1. Aid is awarded by April 15. OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Kaleidoscope offers campers a warm and nurturing place where campers make friends, learn skills, and spread creative wings, all through a Jewish lens. Specialists teach classes daily culminating in art and science exhibits and performances at the end of each four-week session. Counselors
Seeking mature, reliable, patient people who understand what it takes to make a camper's day a wonderful experience. JCC Kaleidoscope Creative Arts & Science Camp is a pluralistic camp welcoming the entire community. While camp is not easily accessible by public transportation, bus counselor positions are available from Framingham and Brookline. Counselors must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduates with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with children. All counselors must be available for the full eight-week season.

Lower and Middle Camp Counselors work in pairs or groups of three and are responsible for a group of 10-15 campers entering grades K-3. They support and nurture campers throughout the day as campers attend activities in the arts, science, sports and swimming. Middle camp counselors may also assist in other areas throughout camp.

Upper Camp Counselors work with campers entering grades 4-8. They teach or assist in classes, activities and theatrical productions. Positions include: tennis and other sports teachers, costumer, assistant tech director for shows, guitar and piano teachers, boating specialists (lifeguard certification required), and crafts teachers. Upper Camp teaching counselors should have completed at least one year of college.

CAMP FACILITIES: College and university campuses deliver an at college experience for your child with technologically equipped classrooms, and inviting, landscaped outdoor spaces. We embrace the outdoors whether it is to launch rockets, build bridges, loose trebuchets, explore coastal waters, whale watch, model the inner solar system, use telescopes, play team games, collect samples, make observations, or operate a hydraulic machine.

Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy has grown to be a full year program. Reed Academy, the 12 month program is dedicated to helping boys with social and emotional needs. Our camp programming works with each child's IEP, and provides additional focus on strengthening of adaptive daily living skills, social skills, and self-esteem building. Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy also has a full time LICSW and clinical staff on board to assist in providing support within the therapeutic milieu. In addition, the Executive Director, Academic Director, and Program Coordinator work closely with the students and staff members.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Drama Camp is run and instructed by Amy Kimball, who has worked in the summer camp setting for 32 summers. She directed Summer Camp for 20 summers. Amy is an experienced Clown, Mime, Performer, Director, Certified Teacher and has had every role at camp from counselor to unit head to specialist to Director. Amy has her BA in Education and has directed over 15 theatrical productions over the years. She will be working with help from a talented staff of performers who have expertise in singing and acting. CAMP FACILITIES: Our programs operate in a classroom environment with room for multiple tables to facilitate cooperative inquiry-based hands-on learning. Most of our locations are air-conditioned if indoors. Typically we also have an outdoor area available for outside activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have outdoor picnic groves, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, a baseball diamond and soccer field. Through the woods there is a high and low ropes course and an archery range. Our pool allows us to swim rain or shine, and we have a large gym, several racquetball courts, and an indoor climbing wall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Youth who are eager to learn, develop and enhance their leadership skills in the camp setting, apply to be C.I.T.s. These future counselors train in daily sessions: covering many areas such as effective listening, peer relationships, role modeling and programming.

C.I.T.s work with different age groups learning developmental stages and finding their preferred age group. As a group project, the C.I.T.s will plan and implement a camp-wide carnival.

The C.I.T. program includes a 5-day, 4-night recreational trip to Club Getaway in Kent, CT, from July 15 - July 19. Teens will bond as a group and enjoy boating, rock climbing, group challenge activities, trapeze, giant swing and evening socials. Each applicant is interviewed after registering.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ivy Seed Academy was founded in August of 2013 and based in Boston Massachusetts, Ivy Seed is an education company that provides STEM programs, summer camps for children around the world and educational tours.

The course is designed to prepare students for the fundamentals of IOS programming language created by Apple. Throughout the Programming & App Development for iPhone & iPad, students will explore fundamental programming concepts and instructional design principles. Students will able to apply design principles and create individual phone app at the end of class.

Each day the camp runs from 9am-4pm and includes lunch and 1 off-campus field trip each session. Past field trips have included: MIT General Campus Tours, Visiting Media Lab on CampusBoston Science Museum (Tickets NOT included)Visiting Google or Microsoft Office, CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), and other tech related companies or departments.

Camp is for children 10-17 years old of all programming abilities.
We will group children together by age and ability.
No previous knowledge of programming is required.
Sessions will consist of 14 to 45 children with no higher than a 1-7 instructor-student ratio.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.

Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. CAMP FACILITIES: At 200 feet, the Oliver Hazard Perry is the first ocean-going full-rigged ship to be built in the U.S. in over 100 years. It is the largest civilian sail training vessel in America. She has berths for 49 people overnight, and with 17 crew, a low camper to crew ratio creates a safe and fun environment. The ship is equipped with a steel hull, 3 masts, with square sails on all three masts, 20 sails totaling 14,000 square feet, and 7 miles of rope and wire. The engines run on a bio-diesel blend, and the ship is equipped with a modern galley (on-board kitchen), central air, an on-deck science lab, a library and wheel-chair accessibility above and below decks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With 17 professional crew and a capacity for 30-34 campers, our program promotes a dynamic and safe learning environment with a 2:1 ratio of campers to instructors. Campers will feel the thrill of steering a 500-ton ship, and learn to work the yards and sails while exploring the beautiful coasts of New England. They will learn safety at sea and perform important safety drills while acquiring skills in navigation, seamanship, sail handling, knots, and the language of the boat. Campers will explore the underwater world through snorkeling. They will understand wind, waves, tides and the ecology of sandy and rocky seashores. Sunsets, sunrises and the night sky will serve as the backdrop for this incredible experience, in addition to marine phosphorescence, dolphins and whales. Teamwork is an integral part of success onboard the boat, and in addition to learning about themselves, and achieving things they never imagined, they will make friendships to last a lifetime.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: In addition to witnessing the natural magic of the ocean and its inhabitants, each student crew will make friendships to last a lifetime. Campers will take responsibility for themselves and their fellow shipmates, learning to work as a team with others as they hoist and brace the yards on the ship's 130-foot tall rig and apply acquired navigational skills to guide the ship's course on a voyage of discovery.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SPOTLIGHT aims to engage today's youth in the discovery of theatre's many components. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun filled environment, we strive to enrich appreciation for Theater Arts through education, creativity, and passion. Participants receive theatre arts training both on stage and backstage which strives to foster each individual's talents and aspirations with an emphasis on teamwork and personal growth.

THE SPOTLIGHT THEATER WORKSHOP was designed not only to be a lot of fun, but to also focus on strengthening the skills of our participants and teaching them new and exciting elements involved in the performing arts. Some of our classes will include acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, improv, and auditioning skills. Also, we're very excited about incorporating film/television acting and production into the workshop!

Monologues will also be worked on during class time so that upon completion of the program, participants will be comfortable using their pieces at auditions in the future. There will also be many outdoor activities, free time, and special guests!
